Justin McSorley, as principal accountant, has over 21 years experience within the accounting, insurance and banking sectors. He has played key roles in large multinational corporations, insurers, small medium enterprise and professional accounting practices. Justin is results driven and has a proven track record in both the academic and professional world. Justin completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) at Macquarie University. He then completed the Certified Practicing Accounting Program and was awarded CPA member status. Justin then completed further studies to attain a CPA Public Practice License. He has also attained status as a Registered Tax Agent accredited by the Tax Practitioners Board and is a registered SMSF Auditor with ASIC. Justin is currently undergoing studies and accreditation to become a Licensed Financial Planner.

Karen has successfully occupied roles of Personal Assistant, General Manager, Financial Officer and Chief Financial Officer in private enterprise. Karen has also over 15 years of Accounting, Bookkeeping and Business administration experience within various industries in the small to medium enterprise sector.

Karen has completed a Certificate IV in Accounting and an Advanced Certificate in Executive Secretarial Studies . She has also attained status as a Registered BAS Agent accredited by the Tax Practitioners Board and is certified with Xero.

Karen has extensive experience in preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts. Karen has also successfully set up and installed accounting and administrative software with extensive experience in Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Workflow Max and simPRO. She provides many clients with training and ongoing support on these packages. Karen is also experienced with human resources and assists clients with services including staff recruitment, positions descriptions, employment contracts, organisational charts and employee entitlements.

Karen understands that running a business and keeping the financial and administrative processes up-to-date can sometimes be a strain on a business. She finds the organisation provided by a streamlined process rewarding as it supports the growth and success of your business.

Steven LaneAccountant

Steven is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and has been providing professional accounting advice to businesses and individuals for over 15 years. He has worked at small to mid tier accounting firms for the majority of his career.

His approach to business clients is to form collaborative relationships so that he can understand their businesses and can provide long-term advice. Steven provides structuring advice, ongoing tax planning, business administration support, accounting and tax compliance.

Steven takes a holistic approach to individual clients’ financial affairs. He uses his knowledge of their tax, superannuation and personal finances to give a personal assessment of their needs and to advise them of their specific options.

Steven is a keen outdoorsman and enjoys mountain biking, swimming, surfing and skiing with his wife and two sons. His business motivation is to make a positive difference in his clients’ lives.

Jodhi PretloveBookkeeper
Jodhi has successfully occupied roles of Administrative Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Divisional Manager, Area Trainer, and Bookkeeper for small, medium and large enterprise. Jodhi has over 10 years retail and management experience and has completed an Advanced Diploma of Retail Management.

Jodhi is one of our Bookkeepers at JMK Accountants and plays an important role as support for clients. She understands that running a business and keeping the administrative tasks and books up-to-date can place additional pressure on a business. Jodhi therefore places an important emphasis on this part of the business and frees up valuable time.

Jodhi is experienced with data entry, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. She has extensive knowledge of administrative and financial systems and processes to assist with your requirements. Jodhi also provides clients with accounts administration and human resource tasks including staff recruitment, positions descriptions and employee entitlements.

Anna occupies the role of Administration Support / Bookkeeper at JMK Accountants and her role involves client liaison, administration and bookkeeping support for our clients which includes data entry, bank reconciliation and payroll. Anna has experience in various administration roles, simPRO, Xero and Workflow Max.

Anna has extensive experience in purchasing, client liaison and administration processes with a service background and enjoys the challenges small business can often present.

Anna has worked in local businesses on the Northern Beaches with over 10 years experience assisting with administration and bookkeeping requirements. Anna has a great eye for detail and her organisation skills provide a useful asset to the business.
